3.73 gears
SOLD#3 motive 3.73 gears 7.5 10bolt, brand new never used, discovered I bought the wrong kind(need #2) a couple weeks ago after I tried to have them installed. As a result they are darker colored than if u were to get them out of box since they are covered in what I'm guessing is rear end fluid but they are brand new $110 will trade for #2 gears new or used, I'll even consider equal value go fast parts I will ship them if necessary, just pm so I can find out how much shipping would be for u.

#2 is for cars which are upgrading from 2.XX gear, #3 is for cars swapping from a 3.XX gear.... I discovered this a bit too late

I think what Farmer is trying to say is that the 2.73/3.08 is the 2-series carrier and the 3.23/3.42 is the 3-series carrier. Pretty sure that's how it goes, could be wrong, but I'm almost positive that's how it is

^^^ correctomundo!!! I have tried the spacer for the ring gear and it causes the gears to whine no matter what you do. Its better to just buy the right gears for the carrier.

I'm willing to bet you've prob. got a stock gear of 3.42 or 3.23 or something like that. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge about 02 M6's will chime in, but I'm pretty sure you've got a 3-series carrier, which means these gears would work for you. To be sure check the GU# code on your driver side door and get back to me.
