You've got to be shitting me...
Thank you, Preston for the news story. 3 guys drive to Moore, OK from Virginia to steal from the victims. What a group of complete fucking trash. I hope they die a miserable death.

I'm glad they were caught - and, since it was such a tragedy/disaster, hopefully the judge is extra tough on them, and makes an example of them.

I just hope the laws are strong enough that these guys get some time. Not just a slap on the wrist and a fine which they won't even be able to pay anyway, and then our tax dollars are burdened paying for that as well.
Secretly I hope they're hacked to pieces and fed to raccoons.

Nothing in this society surprises me anymore.

Mmmmm... Total waste of other peoples air and your suggestion is spot on!
Maybe hack off their hands, feed the (hopefully ravenous) raccoons said hands ( not forgetting
to dip the stumps in acid.
And all of the above for starters... they should die a lingering one, and by all means introduce
them to the families loved ones...

Only being charged with "disturbing a disaster area", doesn't seem harsh enough. The D.A.'s office needs to slap some more serious charges on these worthless pieces of shit.

A coupe of real f-tards there. Hopefully they have enough of a prior record for the Judge to jump things up when it comes time for sentencing.

Yeah, I'm going to guess that 3 dipshits that decided to travel 1,200 miles to steal from, and try to profit off of those that are going through such devastating times, most likely have a previous rap sheet...

Virginia.......the new West Virginia. Dumb fucks. 1200 miles in a truck getting probably <20mpg. How much wire would you have to steal to make that trip even worth it? I know copper is worth some money but 1200 miles each way just in gas would be $500-600 I'm guessing. Now you get to split the $20 in profit 3 ways??? Ignorant bastards.

They definitely need jail time. I don't think death is appropriate for a property crime though. lolz

You stop at enough houses and there is profit to be made. I know a guy who scraps 5 days a week, supports a 5 person family, a house, two DDs, a scrapping truck and two motorcycles as well as everything else a family with 3 kids needs. Having access to dozens of houses full of wire and pipe could net thousands of dollars.

I was paid 2.66 a pound for clean copper yesterday. It doesn't take long.

So many meth addicts around here looking for a quick buck for meth that they get caught trying to steal it or needing to be pried off the live copper lines from the schools and other buildings a/c units. One school was had a body they estimated was there a week or two a few summers ago.
If a home unit sits too long they break in and pull it from the walls.

In Denver they went around stealing these big fixtures that were for sprinkler systems.
And another guy went around stealing manhole covers. Steel manhole covers. What an idiot, figure that one out. They weren't worth much, and instantly identifiable to any scrapper buying it from them that would instantly turn them in with the reward that was offered.

I represented a guy a couple years back who was taking massive amounts of copper wire onto state game lands and then setting it on fire to burn off the insulation. They couldn't prove that the wire was stolen, but he ended up with something like 2 years probation for what he was charged with.

My favorite was the contractor that decided he was going to steal a whole reel of industrial copper wire from a government construction site...those things are worth tens of thousands of dollars. Not only was he stupid enough to do it in the first place; he did it from a federal site, so he skipped right ahead to federal court.
