Man Allergic to Wi-Fi, Makes Him Sick, Dizzy, Confused

For Steve Miller a trip downtown is a living hell that makes him sick, dizzy and confused.

Bars make him feel the same and he can't use trains, airports or hotels without experiencing head-banging agony.

But Miller doesn't suffer from some strange phobia. He is allergic to Wi-Fi.

And unfortunately for him — and the other two percent of the population with electromagnetic hypersensitivity — the number of people pumping out the wireless internet signal is on the rise.

"I feel like an exile on my own planet," Miller said. "It's almost impossible to find somewhere without Wi-Fi nowadays. If I fancy a pint I have to travel three miles to the only pub in my area that doesn't have it."

Being extra-sensitive to this "electrosmog" has made moving around a nightmare for Miller, as stray signals from neighboring buildings could make him ill.

It has also cost the top British DJ thousands of dollars in lost income.

"I've missed out on loads of European DJ gigs as I can't find accommodation without Wi-Fi," he said. "Most hotels have it, as have all the airports. I can't even catch a train because they have it."

Miller now carries a Wi-Fi detector with him wherever he goes so he can avoid problem areas.

There will soon be a special interest group for these fucks and Wi-Fi will be banned from public areas. Starbucks, libraries, hotels, and whatnot will have to have a special "Wi-fi" room sealed with lead walls and doors, and will be the only public place you can legally use your computer/smart phone. Also wireless internet will be banned from apartment and townhome complexes unless lead walls and doors are installed.

And this will only hold up if my assumption that wi-fi can't travel through thick, lead walls (or another usable construction material) is correct. Otherwise...fuck.

Yes. You must never shit again. Also, make sure you carry a shit detector so you can avoid areas where others may be taking a shit. And you can only go in buildings that don't have public restrooms, incase someone is shitting.

im not allergic to wi-fi but i definitely think its fucking annoying sometimes. you go to the bookstore, people are just flopped down in a chair surfing the web for hours, restaurants, you name it. cant people use the internet at home? never when im in public do i feel i must be online. Maybe the library, but thats about it.

Eh, I dunno. I used it everywhere when I was in college and working all the time. Airport wi-fi has been a godsend for me at times.

However the people who are still sitting at a table in Starbucks 3 hours after ordering their drink (if they even ordered one) checking their MySpace...that is annoying.

i'll make an ammendment to what i said then. Libraries and the airport are different. I'm talking about those shleprock hippies/artsy/asian kid/ nerds that are in barnes and noble, the coffee shop, the local pizza place, taking up space 2 hrs+. go to the library or purchase an internet service and surf there.
