WWI era chemical weapons found in DC yard

That's pretty awesome and scary at the same time. Having deadly poisonous chemical weapons buried in your yard would worry me, but knowing that I had secretly tested chemical weapons from WWI hidden in my front yard would be pretty cool.

this is an excellent example of why we need to think about what actions we take today and consider what the consequences could be 100 years from now.

That is why the gov't has designated areas now a days so stuff like this doesn't happen. DOD spends lots $$$$ doing clean ups prior to turning old property over to civilian use. Some areas will never be turned over because of the extensive use.
Panama took over 6 yrs to clean up after we left.

fair enough although there are a lot of cars out there that are a lot worse than mine. my point was that we have to understand that we need to start thinking about the future more than just the immediate gratification of today. so recycle, turn off the lights, don't dump anti-freeze and oil down the storm sewers, and don't take the cats off your vehicles.

Z/28's were rated at 28 mpg much better than most 90's vehicles, by amounts sold. SUVs and fullsize trucks galore
