WTF is going on?

3 Days ago I got a call from 502-378-9898 I answered and it was a message in spanish...Since I didnt Understand it, I hung up. I tried calling that number back from my work land line, since I dont care about long distances and the number is invalid.


Today I get a missed call from 661-378-9898. I didnt realize it, untill I looked at my history and realized its the same number just a different area code.

The 502 is west Kentuky and 661 is Los Angeles.


WTF is that all about?

Has anyone experience the same thing?

Just people trying to sell you crap. I get them at my shop all the time. Next time you do answer ask them to place you an a do not call list. Every call is place though a computer system that auto dials you till you request to be no longer called.

My girlfriend has ben getting calls from New York and such she called one back and it was a childrens clothing store, when she answered one day there were people chanting her name, next time she answered someone was screaming FU#C YOU! strange hey?

I do to but she don't know anyone from NY and why would it be a kids store? freaky, I lock the doors now!

could be one of those phone-scam deals, perhaps, where somehow they get yer info and run your bills up? I remember hearing something about that a long time ago, its like a puerto rico number or some wild horsehonkey like that. *Shrugs*

basically when they do taht they can use your cell phone to make free calls... what you NEED to do is to call your proveder and let them knwo what is happening so that they can trace the call and make sure that you do not get charged for any unauthorized calls...

trust me... i used to do it...

It happens to me too. I just don't pick up if I don't recognize the number. Nothing can happen then, right?

Google the number, it may give you insights as to who called....

I will turn off my answering machine too if the number is not provided. If they feel the need to block their caller ID, it can't be that important of a call.
