Wrecked my car think its totaled?

I wrecked my car the other day. I left the scene. Any idea whats gonna happen? I already talked to the officer who just issued a ticket and court date for sept. Here is a pic of my car.

How did you leave the scene...you just walked away? You must've been drunk otherwise it would be pointless to leave the scene when your car is still there.

But yea it looks totaled, the airbags alone are around 1,500 a piece...and who knows what kinda damage is under all that twisted metal. The damage only has to equal 80% of the vehicles worth for the insurance to total it.

Well, what are the charges? Leaving the scene of an accident? Are there any other charges?

That's better than getting a DUI bud (or whatever your reason was for leaving the scene).

I'd plead guilty to leaving the scene, and take my medicine.

I called a realtive to come get me. I got a ticket for failure to report and leaving the scene. Just talked to a laywer and he is gonna rep. for $500. I left the scene because I was stupid. Didnt hit anyone.I didnt have my insurance and decided to leave anbd get it.

Actually it might not be a total. Depends on your insurance and what you want them to do. An '07 Nissan Maxima is still worth a few bucks. It looks to me like you need a hood, front bumper assembly, fenders, inner fenders may need repair or replace can't tell, blend the doors for color match, radiator support, frame rails pulled, ac condensor, radiator, both headlights, engine sheilds, wheels skirts, windshield, possibly an engine cradle and air bags. Just from the picture which doesn't show the left side of the car or the back to give a really good guess. Basically a whole nose + some

If there is any motor or trans damage on top of that it may total. Insurance companies will repair a car over 80% IF it's not gonna bite them later.

Well - since you had insurance, a simple ticket for not having proof of insurance is a breeze compared to what you're going to get now (unless you were drunk).

All you would've had to do in that case is show up in court with your proof of insurance and they usually drop it.

almost 40y/o and that's the lamest shit reason i have ever heard of for leaving a scene of an accident. you didnt even fathom to think that no proof is a fix it ticket. you opened up a whole other can of worms for yourself. hope it's worth it...

i hope they 'take' you off the road for a while, but looks like you're ahead of the curve...

If alcohol was involved, I wouldn't admit to it on a public forum either......just in case, you just never know sometimes, and crazier things have happened.
