would you buy this? new iPod/mp3 dock

This is a packaging concept I've designed for a company who has come up with a very cool little iPod/mp3 player dock. It's small; only 7" wide, with 2 speakers on either end and can really belt it out inside a room or outdoors. It works with iPods and nanos, you can hook it up to a portable player or mp3 player with a 3.5mm audio jack, it can be used as a computer sound system using said audio jack or USB. It can run from 4 AAA batteries [roughly 12 hours continous play] or be powered with an AC plug or USB plug [not included]. Target has agreed to retail them for us @ $80 or $90; here is the packaging concept:

hmm. i vote yes because it is a great idea. although, i have a chocolate phone that i use as my mp3 player, and when hooked up to an adapter, through some speakers it comes out mono, so only thru 1 speaker. i would definitely try it out before i bought it just to make sure its compatible, and if yes, then i would definitely buy it!

works for more than just ipods, any mp3 player, as well as CD players or computers [laptop/desktop]

hmm, ill figure that out. my dads borrowing it at work right now so i will get back to u. btw, to sexonwheels, i hate ipods too. they charge $100 extra for them just for the name. i love my chocolate tho.

Ok I like it better then it is just all the tailor made shit you can get for the ipod is getting to be too much.

that's a good point. and we don't want to overlook those who don't have/don't like iPods. Perhaps the photography/design is too "apple" and not enough "universal mp3 player?"

I like it. I own an ipod and i've been looking for a good one of those things. If its cheaper than the rest, i'd prolly go for it.

still var 2 is cool, the white box is not good at all, the black background give the box and the product a more serious look and black is good for background since anything light toned you lay on top of it stand out.
