world record 8 pointer?

Anyone heard about a 8 pointer in minnisota that is supposed to be the new record holder?

Supposidly there is a stink about it and field and game confiscated it. there was a hole in the deer about the size of a pencil,during archery season.That can be explained if he was using mechanical broadheads and it didn't open. Here is where the real problem occurs,he already tagged out on a buck they think. I guess only one allowed a year in Minn.. well at least how the story was told to me.Why is it all huge animals are surrounded by controversy

Holy shat! Biggest 8pt. I've ever seen. He should have done a standard type mount instead of the skull. I would like to have seen the body.

you have to remove the skin from the skull,and cut the skull plate off(the part the antlers are growing from) to do a mount like that.they have forms that you screw the skull plate onto and put the hide on after tanning it. He could fully well be planning to do at least a shoulder mount(from shoulders up) or a full body mount. If it was mine that bastard would be a full body mount!!! but it is nessesary to have the skull cleand off like that to get to the point of a head mount or more.

From the sounds of it he isn't mounting it since it was confiscated.

I saw something on this a few weeks ago on a hunting site but I couldn't find it again. The story was the rack and the body was found in a huge field and was mostly decayed. It is one of the biggest deer racks, but at the time no one could prove they "shot it".
