why do you have your TA
After reading many posts on this website I would like to ask the question……………
Do you look at your TA as a stepping stone, a car you can afford at this point in your life? Or do you look at is as an icon to some extent or just like the car. The reason I ask is many here put Vette rims or badges on their cars or seem to dream of upgrading to a Vette.
Me, I could afford a Vette, Viper, new Camaro but I like the TA, it’s place in auto history, movies and so on. I’m also a gearhead and like working and improving the cars performance.

I could buy any of the vehicles you mentioned, but really like the T/A and always have. I find the pleasure vs cost factor perfect for me because I only drive it in the summer months and love it. I can tear it apart and not have a care in the world because it is a cheap performance vehicle in my eyes. Oh yeah, it also works great because it has a back seat for my son. I will keep the T/A and probably never sell it.

Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A w/ mods, 00 FBVert
Trans Ams have always been my obsession. I like Vettes, however, luv Trans Ams. No other car gives me joy when driving it. If this one is ever total, I would still go out and get another one. My son, (14) wants to get one. If I was to ever win an exotic, I would sell it and then get several other T/A's of different yrs. They (98-02) have the look and feel that is like having the the hottest woman on the planet.

For me it was always about falling in love with the Bandit cars. Or was it Burt Reynolds? I'm not sure... At 16 I bought a 77'. At 21 bought a 79' with the 403 auto. Never was able to hang on to them. But I always found myself wanting another Trans Am. I always made myself a promise that when I was able to get another one I would keep it forever. Hence the name on the plate of my car "JJ WON". TA's have "it" for me. Sad times for Pontiac. But I have mine and will never sell.

True Pontiac Slogan...."Built For Drivers"....the most awesome looking....most pleasurable.....comfortable, powerful, machine I've ever sat in or drove.....Even the lines on the front fender looks like a womans leg...
Would like to own a Vette and an Older GTO but would never part with my T/A to get one... She's here to stay and hopefully will be able to buy a brand new one down the road for myself (if they ever make one again) and pass this one on to my son.

It is just something we have wanted to own for years. Our T/A will be driven and enjoyed. It's a car that we will keep and never part with. We could have probably purchased just about anything, but quite honestly not much attracted my attention since the last GNX was built back in the late '80's. This changed when they introduced the '98 Ram Airs with their unforgettable commercials. Oh yeah...
