Why did you join LS1.com?
Well just sitting here thinking about different forums for some reason and thought about this... Why did you(anyone) join LS1.com? Are there any reasons?
Ill start us out....
My first forum that i got big into was great at the time... it was with everyone from Michigan(when i had my 94 Trans Am). well for some reason i got banned for being friends with a person(not just over a computer but in person) on that forum(NO JOKE) ... so i dropped that place and haven't looked back... i then chilled without any forums during the winter... i then sold my Trans Am and bought my 2000 Camaro Z28... i started on 2 forums with that my Z... and the forum picked me... on both forums i introduced my self almost exactly the same... and this forum took me in, welcoming me into the LS1 family, and as for the other forum i had 1 or 2 welcomes which i did not think was where i wanted to be...
So i picked LS1.com as my forum as choice and plan to be here as long as i own an LS vehicle...
Lets hear about everyone else?

I bought my car and new the capabilities but was pretty busy with military and neve had time to learn. Got out q couple years back and started getting into all of this LS1 business. I heard about ls1tech and this site. I chose this site because a guy that told me about both is a douche and i didnt wanna be where he was. This site has helpedbme tremendously with all my questionz and has never made me feel that my lack of knowlede was an issue. So i say thank you to ls1.com

I joined so I could one day become a super moderator and then ban everyone from the site...shutting it down permanently. It took me almost 3 years to become a mod, but now that I am I am one step closer to executing this flawless thought out legendary scheme...
Other than that, I got the mod itch and wanted to know what parts to get and how the components worked.

In celebration of an anniversary, I bought a 2002 Trans Am and surprised my wife with it -- she is a total car nut and speed freak. After buying it, I knew I would need assistance as everything else we own is old school. Started looking on the internet and just happened upon this site. In all honesty, it was the members and how they made me feel welcome that really attracted me. I joined soon after and started posting regularly after a couple of weeks of reading up on things. All of sudden 2-1/2 years have gone by and I am still here just about every day.

well i had a 3000 gt vr4 that was fully built that i traded title for title strait across for the ta i got now. I was on the other forum when i had the other car. As soon as i got the car i typed ls1 into google and the first thing that popped up was ls1.com so i clicked it and joined and now i have been here for a couple years. This site has been the biggest help to me for anything f body. Thank you all!!!

I have to say, I joined "both" sites at the same time 3 years ago. I have over 7500 posts here now and about 7 on the other site. I think that sums it up nicely when comparing the two
People here seems to be way more laid back and helpful. Even when the same question is asked 100 times by newbs and we even have stickies covering the subject, people don't act like a-holes about it.
I have to say, this site has become like a second home to me. Have made some great friends over the years. Plan on being able to meet some people from the site here shortly as well.

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Joined the site before i even got my camaro, figure i'd try and learn all i could about the car i've been wanting for as long as i can remember. When i joined got welcomed in and everyone on the site helped me out with any question i could think of. Joined that other site but its just not exactly my kinda atmosphere haha. I've been here since October 08 and never looked back. Great people, great info, and i keep busy with the AAG section when there's not a new part in the garage to install

Truthfully, it was the willingness of everyone here to help each other out. I've always believed in helping someone out, if I can. I think many members here feel the same way. I know the ones I've met personally do. It's nice to have something like that available.

I actually joined for the 1st time when my car was new in the summer of 1998. This was THE place for LS1 info back then. Not long after some other LS oriented boards spang up & at the same time the ownership of this board got a little lame, I along with may others stopped looking at this one. Fast foreward to 2007 when I stopped in & realized a guy I was hanging with at the local track was on here so I joined again. Was pleasantly surprised to find most of the bullshit that drove me away was gone with the new folks in charge.

I came for the beer and the bitches. Thus far its been beer and a she-male.
Honestly though it was because I wanted to find as much info on LS1 cars as possible when I had my GTO. Reason this showed up first is google will get money from a company to have them show up on the first page of the search.....those who pay the most get to the top of the list.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
3 words lead me to this site: DO A SEARCH!!!!!
After 2 years of that I got fed up and started searching. I still occasionally check "the other site" but consider this my LS1 home.
That and I can talk politics here also...
