    Where to buy Resistors?

I need a 20% tolerance resistor. I don't care ohm or watts or frequency. Radioshack doesn't have them. Mouser(even bigger than radioshak) doesn't have them. Internet searches bring up nothing. Ebay didn't have them. Every single resistor color code chart even brand new ones list them though, even in text books.

Have I found the one thing you can't buy on the internet?

Why would you want a resistor with that much variance in rated capacity in the first place?

Because my friend says they don't exist and I got a cash money bet with him. Did a LOT of internetting, the only reference I can find is a guy who tore apart his 1940's era tube radio. Out of like 25 resistors he listed in the tear down, only two were 20% tolerance, the rest were all 10%. Going to look for an old timy radio forum now. See if someone doing a rebuild will sell the old ones cheap.

You're officially dah man. The top one is potentiometer though(rheostat with 3 leads), but the bottom one is exactly what I want. It's not a carbon wire wound resistor, but just as good! I just made a pretty penny =)

    Resistors R Us
    Resistor Depot
Aisle 9 at the Resistor SuperMart

Can you find the next smaller size? Usually resistors are grossly over engineered anyway.
