So you can turn them on and off when YOU want to instead of when the CPU wants to.

Sitting in the staging lanes you can run your fans constantly to help keep your motor on the cold side and prevent your motor from getting heat soaked. Also works well for Dyno time and multiple pulls.
Heat soak robs hp.
