Whats it like being an insurance claims adjuster?

My friend works at Progressive as a basic claims adjuster, is this a good field to get into or is it just dealing with idiot people all day. How do some people get into the insurance business and make a killin? Is it when you own your own agency and have to make tons of insurance sales?

Im just looking for a new field to get into

I would never work for an insurance company. They are not in business to serve their customers.

well, first the insurance adjuster gets up and shaves by feel because if he had to look at himself in the mirror he would instantly feel like shit and kill himself.

then, he goes into the office and starts fucking people.

It is dealing with a lot of idiots, who mostly think that you are an idiot and have no idea what you are doing. They always try to claim shit that has nothing to do with the accident and then get pissy when you call them on it.
