What number to file for?

I remember reading the thing abotu the 600$ checks pretty soon. So what exactly does that go for? All the pple that filed for 1 or 0 or what exactly is the deal with those checks?

The way it works is that once you get it you send it to me so I can spend it.

It doesnt matter what you claimed if you filed for 2007 you will get a check. If you e-filed or filed with a direct deposit return it will be deposited in that account. That info comes from the IRS phone line message.

that's not true. there is a minimum dollar amount that you must have earned in the year in order to get a check and if you earned more than the upper limit you won't receive a check either.

At 17 you are likely claimed as a dependant on someone else's tax return. If that is the case, no check for you.

Sorry to bring this back up, but for those of us that are within the requirement, when is this check supposed to get to us?! I can really use it, and hopefully my 41.5k reenlistment bonus here in a month or so

That's not entirely true either....for every 1k over the limit the check is $50 less.

I don't have to worry about being over the limit, the govy pays my checks, and let me tell you... They pay me too much!! Earned 21k last year as an E3/E4 in the Marine Corps... waaaayyyy too much!! They got to slow their role on my pay
