What kind of jobs do you have?

Just out of all curiosity, not trying to cut into anyones business, but Im about to start work as a cable tech this summer and I was just wanting to compare it to other peoples jobs. I really want a Trans Am and im just hoping i'll be able to afford one one day.

I work for time warner cable in the billing department. It's a job, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The pay stinks and my job consists of telling couch potatoes that they have to pay their bill in order for me to turn their services on.

I started out splicing cable for the phone company. pays pretty good.

I assume by cable you mean time warner or some other TV cable company. they are good to work for too, if you have clean credit a trans am should be no problem.

<<turning wrenches, work at a body shop doing suspension work, electrical, r & i engines transmissions whatever, dont really "build" engine or trans etc. just replace parts...easy job, good pay, but i'm burned out. I've got a packet to apply at the US post office. hope to get through it soon and geta job there, it atleast has benefits, vacation etc. the place I am at now ...i'm turning the rant off, I'm in a good mood and want to stay that way. oh I also have 6.5 years at a chevy dealership, and almost 2 here now.

Out of work Dealership Auto technician. Got layed off 3 weeks ago making 16.50 an hour. Im open to all kinds of careers that you guys do as Id like to know about other good ways to make nice money. To the guy that works in appliances and makes good money, explain to me exactly what it is you do? Im gonna be going back to wrenching soon enough hopefully this time on a japanese car line so I can do maintenance and other gravy work. To anyone thinking about wrenching on a domestic car line... DONT its a mistake, unless the place is ran really well you wont make any money. Its all warranty garbage work.
