You talking about, video cameras if you are I own a Canon GL2. I will NEVER buy a Canon product again in my life. In the year that I have owned it, I have sent it in 3 times to have it fixed. When you pay $2500.00 for a video camera you expect the thing to work. Just my 2 cents.

rather, anything you use to record with. (digital camera, camcorder whatever) I wann see whats a good one to get. I would rather get on that takes pics and has a good video recorder option. The one I have is 2 dark when it records.

I don't do kills, but I own an Olympus C-4040 Zoom. It's old but it's still a very nice camera.

I recently purchased a Sony HDR-SR5 which is a high def camcorder that also takes 4mp stills. It has a 40GB hard drive so you can record quite a bit (a ton if you record in standard def) yet is light and will be easy to car mount.

If you have more money than I did, then you can opt for the HDR-SR7 which has a bigger hard drive, and 6mp stills.

The cool part is that you can pull some pretty decent quality stills out of the high def video so you can get that "just right" moment. I did quite a bit of research and the Sony's are pretty darn good.

Wish I had a car mount for the track tonight but alas, it will just be video taken by my wife from the sidelines until I get off my lazy but and get one ordered.
