From autoblog posting on a peice from road and track that tested which car is fastest to 200 mph. The Bugatti didn't win.

ya but it lost to a non production car, the Veyron is a production car, also in that video, if its the one from topgear, the straightaway was 5 miles long, the turn is 1 mile long, and odviously it has to take a long way to slow down so there you go.
