update on my project. (lots o pics)
I'll just show a lot of pics, you get the idea....
where it began...
what a mess
Just got it back from my cage installer. I had to design a custom cage, cause no one makes them for these cars.
it doesn't get any tighter than that....
And finally some test fitting... LOTS to do still...
still needs to be lower, and further back. The fire wall will go under the knife this weekend...
More to come.

Looks good so far... quite a bit of work by the looks. I remember the Conquests but not any details. How long did they make these cars?

Thanks. They only made them from 83-89, then were replaced by the 3000gt/stealth

Bright Red- 1999 Trans Am Ws6
Wait, Dodge made the stealth and mittsubishi made the 3000gt. So who made the conquest? It has the looks of something amc would put out.
If that thing was some horrible light yellowish brown 80's color I would hate it, but in that red, man that thing looks mean. Those are some wicked flares around the wheel wells, if they connected accross the door that thing would look like a ferrari.
Out of curiosity what kind of #'s was it putting down with that turbo engine you had in it?

Mitsubishi made them(conquest/starion), and imported them from Chyrsler, same as the 3000gt/stealth, and the eagle talon/ mitsu eclipse. The turbo motor was built pretty well, (JE's/rods/ported..bla bla) it was making around 300 or less. Pretty much maxed out with the turbo and fuel system. Next step (multiport/stand alone FMS/ larger turbo)would have cost me about the same as the LS1 swap, so I figured I'd try something a little different.
