"A settlement filed on Tuesday (May 6) gives the university licensing control over the guitars, but the two companies get to keep selling them."

That really stupid, the dean razorback model was not competiting against the University of Arkansas Razorback mascott. The sale of this guitar does not effect the university what so ever even though they have the same name.

Sounds like a university has found a way to bring in revenue based of off the number one sellling guitar.

I don't really see the difference. Dean was just making money off of dimebag too. It's not like dime ever played that guitar.....it was created after his death to boost dean's sales.

I see this as just a greedy university wanting a buck. I see no ties at all between these guitars and their mascot, why cause of a name? is the word Razorback even trademarked?

Dimebag is dead. The only people that should be making any money in relation to his likeness are his family, and the companies and products he worked for and sponsored. What the hell does the university know about dimebag darrel.
