Didn't you just get this thing and worried about engine leaks and not being able to fix them if it did leak??????

Without knowing the trims it hard for me to tell from just the photo. IMHO the turbines look too small.. I dunno need more info/specs..

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 T/A Firehawk M6
When I was 19 I was driving a 1992 Lincoln Mark VII LSC.... All I wanted was to mod it... never did though. I was of the opinion that no matter what I did the car would hold together. While it was fairly new at the time and had fairly low miles I bet had I started modding that 5.0 HO i'd have broken anything and everything.
Moral of the story? When I was driving that car it was one of the nicer things on the road and modded or not.... it got all the girls. You have a vette..... roll it slow and enjoy the ride. When you are older and have cash you will do all the modding you can handle.
Look at me. 27 and finally modding the heck out of something.

Also as kinda a heads up. I'm concerned about the exhaust flanges not being shown.. They could be broken, and there's no way to tell anything about their inlet on the exhaust side. Not showning the exhaust outlets either. IMHO I'd steer clear of these unless you personally contact the seller..

Upon closer inspection of the photos. I find the turbines have been fooled with in the past @ some point. The shaft nuts don't match eachother. I know may make folks laugh but to me I see another red flag.. If anything after finding out some more info on them you could possibly rebuild them. That's assumming the inside walls of the cases are not damaged. Aswell as any possible blade damage could prove to be heavy.. They apear to me to be scrap yard turbos IMHO.. I would'nt pay much for them @ all. I think it said $51.00 and $27 for shipping? Ehh keep looking bro... If the seller had any real confidence in these he'd be asking far more IMO.. $51 is cheap maybe a little too cheap ya know..

It's incomplete. Why buy that?
I'm not a turbo installation expert but i believe you've got to find some piping and the intercooler for the turbo, and I'm not sure but i can imagine that you have to find the correct size piping for the kind of turbo you have?
Why not just concentrate on getting your bolt on's first? I mean i think you should just concentrate on getting the thing running properly first, then start building from there, do it right, I mean I know the things are just 51 bucks but you've got a ton of other stuff that you need to do to that vette before you can even think about FI.
Just my opinion

The Vette runs find, I am just doing a tune up for peace of mind. I was just browsing ebay, and came accross it and thought I would ask before I posted a bid. If they where in good shape or cheap rebuild, thought it would be worth picking up for feature use. Also to my knowlege, you have to get a custom kit for the C4, if you want TT?

You worry about synthetic causing leaks now, just wait till engine and 4l60 fragments are layed out everywhere. Usually when people buy things like that they end up going another direction through time ( enough time to buy and install the shortblock and trans). Buy things when you're ready you know?
