Trucks
I am in the market for a new truck. Was curious as to what people on here drive and have driven. I was looking into the Nissan Titan or the Ram SRT.
What would you guys suggest!

the srt10 hands down
my dad has the challenger and charger, both srt, and the charger i will be buying from him soon... both cars drive like a dream, and my neighbor has the srt10 ram... that truck is gorgeous and has the power. I drove one during the srt experience and can vouch that it is an amazing truckLast edited by cant.b.caught.z28; 08-11-2009 at 03:53 PM.

SRT10 for the speed factor
Titan for the all around use and off-road capabilities.
Had an '05 Titan Off Road, some minor mods, it moved pretty good for being heavy as it is and seeing you're from Tuscon, you could take that in the hills over an SRT10 anyday. I know there are some sweet ass trucks out in AZ

I had an 05 dodge 3500 cummins that was great for pulling, now I have an 08 chevy 2500 duramax it does the job just as well but way more comfortble.

I own a 2006 Nissan Frontier crew cab (made in USA in MS) which has been a stellar performer and runs perfect, last year I wanted something bigger so I looked around and at the time the only company that would deal was Ford, this was pre obama and ford was offering their employee pricing, So I bought an 08 F150 Supercrew, and yeah I had to make some exterior mods too. Currently it has 12k miles on it and to my surprise has made zero trips back to the dealership for zero warranty repairs, knock wood. I drive this truck 35+ miles a day in my commute and avg 16mpg @ 75+ mph, YMMV
Regards,
Todd

Lightning FTW.
Cheaper, faster, and better built than the SRT 10
If you want to haul something other than just butt, get a modern diesel from Ford, Chevy, or Dodge. There's not really a bad one among the 3 now.
I would imagine if you were looking at a new truck, all the dealers would be ready to cut a sweet deal.

This will be my new get around town vehicle. Not really looking to mod it to much, and I don't really have any trailers or fun stuff to haul, just the occassional runs to home depot or such. It needs to be either a full size four door or a fold out door. don't really need it to go off roading in, if i wanted that I would buy a beater and mod it.
I was looking into the lightning, but all of them are two door. Friend has an 08 silverado and his dad has the 09 GMC both seem to be stout trucks. This is the first I am hearing that a deisel truck would be good other then work. Might look into this option now.

For what you need I would go with a GMC/Chevy Crew Cab. Diesel are good trucks but you will pay a lot more, spend more on maintenance and if diesel goes back up in price more on fuel. You will have to drive a ton to get your money back.
I wanted the Duramax or Cummins but couldn't justify the cost since all I haul is the Harley. I got the GMC with the 5.3. It isn't fast but has plenty of power and gets about 16 mpg combined. If you have money to waste then go with the diesel option.

Black- 1999 Camaro Z28
F150 4x4 here. I have 83k on it and I've never done anything to it except change a 4x4 actuator (my fault). The 5.4 is great for towing but if I were looking for a performance truck, Ram SRT-10 all the way. Having that big V10 there sure would feel nice..

Personally, I like my stepdad 08 Dodge Ram with the Hemi and his company truck Dodge Rams with a Cummins (All 4x4, Auto's). There damn good trucks, but there Tranny's sucks ass. The best trucks we had, been Chevy's, even if there suspension has been weak compared to Dodge. But thats an easy fix that usually improves the looks of the trucks.
