Red Fire- 2007 Mustang GT/CS
Trans Am in my shop..
My two techs were giving me shit this morning.. (GM guys)
It happens all the time as I drive a Mustang and I used to own a white SS..
Older tech really flips me shit over this..
Anyhow... the younger one this AM said I would rather Push my GM than drive a Ford ... blahblahblah.
I said I was sure he would get a chance to push a Chevy today..
Corsica.. dead bat/alt.. Not really what I consider a chevy, but a small triumph for me..
That was at 9:30 am PST
JUST a minute ago I point out the window.. blue T/A .. chick behind the wheel, two dudes pushing it up the road..I nudge the tech and grin..
He says Aw, Shut up..
THEY PUSH IT IN my Lot...
He just stares at me.. Murder in his eyes.
I go write the work order.. possible fuel pump Nice car overall 02 NBM T/A..
70k on the odometer..
Guess whose hook I hang the work order on
BWAHAHAHAHAHA

I used to run mine til the "low fuel" light came on. I have only done that three times. I won't even let my fuel gauge run til red anymore.

To prevent the fuel pump from going arent you supposed to keep the gas over 1/4 tank so the pump is fully submerged at all times thus keeping the pump cooler?

I had a good site for it but i forgot it... its really not that hard, I used a dremel with small 3/4" cut-off wheels. went through about 8 of the wheels. I just cut two lines parallel from back to front, then went right in the middle of the two lines and cut from side to side. Just make sure when your cutting on the driver side you dont go too deep, because the lines run right in the middle on the driver side.
Then I folded the sides up to get the room i needed, and when i was done i was able to drill a few small holes, and put in sheetmetal screws with washers on them to hold down the 'flaps' i made. I laid some sound deadener sheets over the whole wheel housing, and then laid the carpet back downLast edited by cant.b.caught.z28; 03-08-2009 at 10:08 PM.
