Traction Control
Tonite was the first time I think I actually got mine to work. I have a button near the CD holder place that says ASR which im sure is the traction control. me and some friends were fucking around in an empty parking lot doing donuts and mine wasnt that great, then my friend pressed and held that ASR for 10 secs or so then we tried it and holy shit it was a completely different car. But the problem is when ever we got it to turn on there was no light or anything to say that its on or off or whatever. Anyway I can do something where it tells me? thank you

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
sounds like that particular dash light is burnt out. Thats where the indicator comes up. I have a burnt out "Cruis bulb" and don't really care.
check your manual, if you have it still

Yea well I looked in the book today, and from what I understand there should be a light that comes on for when you turn it off, which I do not have so I guess I need to get that fixed.

It's an LED in the dash lights, not a regular light. I took mine out.
There's a light in the switch that is amber. When the light is on, ASR is ON (The default is on unless it's been modified with an after market set up).

errr... it's a yellow LED, probably 3.6 Volt, but I don't really think that's going to help you much. It's actually soldered on to a circuit board. You have to pull the dash cluster apart a bit further than just a lightbulb. Autozone isn't going to have it. Radio shack and really if LED and circuit boards are geekanese to you, don't do it. You'll eff something up. Just be glad you don't have the stupid light.

Probably, I would suppose that they would because they wouldn't have mechanics working on that to that level. (not that they're not capable, it's just not something that works for time/warranty, etc).
I thought the light was annoying, it's why I took it out. I held on to that LED for a long time before I threw it away a few months ago. It's probably $2 or something. I took out two others when I did it if I remember right. I dont' remember what the others are.

SLP sells this thingy that hooks to the back of the traction control switch....when you start your car the TC is off instead of on.
