Took my 2004 Sunfire to the track

So I took "Blueballs" (My Electric Blue Metallic Sunfire) to the track Thursday night. My best time was a 16.5, bone stock. I killed an S-10, Cutlass, 200sx, and my two favorites were a modded Eclipse and a modded Mustang. Wonder what she'll do with some mods?

I know it's a 4-cylinder, but it's all I have. I'm def not going to rice it out, but I'm seriously contemplating some mods to her. Any serious suggestions, other than trading it in for a LS1? Thanks guys.

it's just a DD, right? it gets you from A to B, gets good mileage and that's what matters

I'm hoping to get full exhaust, intake, chip, forged internals, and nitrous. Need to get rid of that dreadful governer (108 mph.) It is a DD, and it gets 37 mph. The best part was the hellacious burnout I did with it. The ECOTEC is in my car, 16 valve with 140 hp. Not a bad DD, personally. I didn't lose to any car that I was supposed to beat, but surprised a couple of people. Got compliments from people who were surprised. Y'all should be happy that I beat a Mustang and a modded Eclipse.

Don't do it. I'm not trying to offend you, or be a jerk. But don't do it. I've been there, with my 1st car. You just turn a perfectly good daily driver into some twisted, expensive abomination that is neither a good daily driver or fast enough to compare well with purpose built sport or muscle car. Especially since almost all of them mod too. And with the money it took just to get it into that range, you'd find you could've bought yourself a used ls1 or other car designed for going fast.

I am the only one that noticed that it tops out at 37 mph..........I am hoping that you meant mpg, for your sake
