too quick?

Ok so i was watching pass time last nite and a 2005 mustang gt pulls up to run the quarter mile. The guy claims all he added to the car was a cai thats it. Nothing else! Then he goes on to run a 13.1 at 106 mph. I couldnt believe it. All the other gts ive seen run 14 to 14.5s between 98 and 102 mph. He had to have been lying. Right?

Unless he has a SD tune. That adds HP if I am not mistaken.

Friend has an '07 Mustang GT -- catback, aftermarket TB, CAI, and boxed LCA's and ran a best ever of 13.995 at 103.61 mph two weekends ago.

that show is very inacurrate, its edited by drunken rednecks so it makes mistakes all the time

Actually.. mustangs with CAI almost ALWAYS have a tune with it(usually a 93 octane tune) They throw a code otherwise, so depending on sea level, a 13.1, 1/4 is not out of the question, but he probably forgot to mention his tune.

If I went on that show I would say it was stock, and let them ask the three questions....they'd guess 12-13s and when I run a 9-10 they'd be like

I ran a stock GT (2005 or newer - I don't pay attention that critically) last week at the track. Me: 12.80's. Him: 14.30's. He was stock. I'm not
