tire rack

so i bought 2 new tires from tire rack and the certs also........i come out this morning to find a 16 penny nail in my sidewall so i call to get the replacement process started and the guy on the other end of the phone say"oh...this is all bad" so i ask why? he says that they discontinued those tires after i purchaed them and are offering no replacements........at this point i was starting to get really pissed but i figured they would do something for me.......yea....sell me a higher priced tire! and only give me back the purchase price of the original tire +shipping and a new cert.......so i asked if it was true that they were going to ask me to run 2 different tires on the rear of my car? the (haha) customer service person says well you have a different brand on the front.....and offers me the 2nd tire at 1/2 price.......well i told her that i would not be interested in doing bussiness with them again and i hoped she had the most fucked up day possible.....lesson learned

dosnt sound like an awful deal to me? nothing they can do if the tire is out of stock...........if i read what u put down right they were gonnna give u the entire value of the tired with the nail in it towards a new tire???? and half off the 2nd tire? so it would of cost u maybe 100-150 bucks??? and ud have a brand new tire to sell that was on your rear........ive always had goodluck with them

tire rack does not sell tires for bicycles so i don't deal with them

it was going to be 185.00 and the point is why should i have to make up the difference for thier error?i can see paying for the 2nd tire but atleast throw in shipping or the new cert,but no imo they are a mickey mouse out fit.....

I have bought tires from them probably 10 times in the last 5 years. Never had a problem with customer service.

yes....72.00 credit......100.00 new tire......50% off 2nd tire.....24.00 shipping ........15.00 certs and i still would ahve to do the mount and balence again

that's a shame i've always had a good experience with tire rack, they are in DE and i get my tires next day with them. i dont buy the road hazzard on tires though, so i have no experience in dealing with that sort of thing

How does a nail get in the sidewall anyway? I dont think I have ever seen that, just the tread. I wonder if you pissed someone off and they hammered a nail into your tire.
