Three police cars show up at my house

My wife and I come home late Saturday night and I notice all the lights on my street are out. While pulling into the drive way I noticed the firefighter neighbor who lives a few houses down has fired up his gas powered generator hence he had some lights at his house. I pull into the car port and three police cars pull in behind me.
The police ask me what was my address is and I say '10620'.
He says we got a 911 call from this house
I notice my daughter's car in the car port
My heart skips a beat
We all go into the house, they have flashlights.
My daughter is under her bed scared with her phone in her hand.

She said the power went out, she was scared, then heard strange noises (generator I presume) then some strange lights went on a few houses down.

She is 21 years old, she has been suffering from mononucleosis for the past month and pretty much sleeps all the time and has not quite been herself. The policemen were very nice and could see how scared she was.
I have to wait till she is better before I can tease her about it.

I hate to hear that, I hope she gets better. That would have scared me to death too not knowing what may or may not have happened.

yup, commonly known as mono, people got it quite often in my high school

But what if you haven't kissed anyone? You can also get mononucleosis through other types of direct contact with saliva (spit) from someone infected with EBV, such as by sharing a straw, a toothbrush, or an eating utensil.

Some people who have the virus in their bodies never have any symptoms, but it is still possible for them to pass it to others. Experts believe that EBV can even spread from people who had the virus months before.

By no means am i debating however saying you got mono from a dirty spoon is on the same level as saying you got aids from a person infected who coughed near you.`

i cam home from drinking one night and the wife forgot to take the security lock off the door, so i try to come in, the door opens 3 inches then the alarm starts going off. i'm like oh shit. 4 mins. later 3 cops show up, i pretty buzzed they were like where you coming from i said a friend dropped me off. i said i live here and my wife is sleeping. just had our 2nd kid at the time. so they put the spot light on the window while i chuck rocks at the window, she wakes up scared she came down when she heard me screaming in through the door. she came down and let me in. she was shaking and said she though it was aliens. she watched war of the world about a week before this. it was funny to me.
