Thinking of buying a buell.
A 2004 xb12s to be exact. A co-worker just bought a new bike and is selling his buell for a pretty good price. Never really even considered a buell always looked at crotch rockets but the more and more I look into these buells the more I like them. From what I've read buell had some reliability issues years ago but seems to have a very reliable platfrom with these XB models. Anyone own one?
Not the actual bike but same year model and color combo.

I test rode a Buel just like that. Lotz of torque down low and very good in the corners. Resale sucks... So it better be a good deal imo. Then I got to lookin at the Ducati Monsters and wanted one of those but I never did buy either one.

The torque of these bikes is what really intrigues me. He's asking $4200 for it but I'll probably offer him 4k cash. He also has two brand new tires he's going to put on it before he sells it.

just be aware that buell is no longer in business so parts could start to become harder to find if you need to replace things.

Burple- 1966 427 Cobra Replica
Guess I missed that memo.
You'll like the front brake too. It's better than it gets credit for.
Great low end torque like everyone's said. DEAD on top. At least compared to anything made as a "sport" bike from Japan - even their versions of torquey motors like the SV1000 or FZ1.

- Want a new car
I had a Buell Cyclone 2002, I was a great bike and the handling and power are amazing, I decided to get a cruiser so I sold the Buell.

Yeah well pontiac is also out of business so I guess I'm double screwed as I own a 05 GTO. I hear what your saying though. Good thing is the motor/tranny is all harley so those parts if ever need will still be readily available. They also made these xb's from 04-10 with hardly any changes threw model years so there should be plenty of parts around.

LIGHT PEWTER METALIC- 1999 SS CAMARO
Well Harley is going to carry parts for them for a little while longer but as stated above keep in mind the parts and getting shops to service them will become scarce. The shop I work at won't hardly touch them even though the service manager just got rid of one almost identical to this one?

Yeah it's heavier and slower than a real sport engine, but they're extremely simple and easy to work on. There is alot of potential in heads and cam aswell. I'm looking at a used Buell or xr1200 in about a year as my first on the street, good way to build credit while saving gas

Quite thinking. I own three bikes and have owned more. DO NOT BUY A BUELL!!! Most the reasons have already been mentioned.

I know this... But it's my dream bike that I want to work up to someday, my stepdad had an orange and black one. At these prices it's almost worth buying and putting it in storage.
I been riding my friends wrecked bike around for about a month now, love it... But no way I would get on that Buell...
