Is There a Difference Between Shooting Gloves and Weight Lifting Gloves?
One is much harder to come by in SF than the other.
And I don't feel like paying for shipping.

Mrs. KC says that shooting gloves are full gloves, or cut off at the fingers or can be a mitten, and are not for gripping the rifle, it's for resting the rifle on it, this is generaly the conception for long range shooting events were you wear the glove on your forward hand to rest the rifle on. It's to prevent the rifle from digging into your hand.
Mr. KC says that gloves such as "mechanics" brand work gloves are good for tactcal shooting and worn to protect ones hands upon entry through a window that contains broken glass or to protect the hands while dropping to the prone or moveing around on the hard ball.
So what type of shooting are you talking about?

The crimson trace laser site I put on my Taurus snub nosed .357 magnum is hard plastic and after a couple hours of shooting it really does a job on my right hand. BTW the one they make for the S&W j-frame is rubberized... dickheads!
I would probably also use them while firing my 30-06 if I like the way they feel.

Just got back from the Sporting Goods store.
The weight lifting gloves were too meaty so I went with these.
