stupid AIM question

ive finally decided to change my AIM name, but its been many a version since i last did this. i went to save my buddylist, and i cant bloody find out how!! it used to be under file/aim and it would say right there save/load buddylist. how can i do this? i dont feel like writting all these fuckin names down. vrs 6.5.4.16

You don't need to switch versions when you change your screenname. You can just keep using same version that has all your buddies already on it.

If you do change the version, it should automatically load your buddy list, in my experience they (or at least a partial list) are stored server side in addition to client side.

However, I say trash AIM all together and use Trillian (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/) You can use your AOL screenname with it, and it imports all your buddies automatically, it doesn't have any advertisements, etc etc. It's much better.

It should be under the my aim on the top of the buddy list then save it. Load the settings in ur new aim and there you go.

The old version had that option, this one doesnt that I can find. Downloaded the newest one, it stil doesnt have the option.

No i changed screen names, it wont auto download the list because its an entire new name.
