Start a tow business?
Hi, I'm planning on starting a different kind of towing business here in Broward County Florida. I want to stay at a boat ramp with my truck and help those people that have a tough time getting out of the ramp. I was planning on just like a couple straps or a good winch or something but, because I'm not really towing anyone on the road, I'm wondering what kind of license I need and what else I need to do to get started thanks

Recessions are a great time to open a small business. No, seriously.
I think you should go for it, and ignore these fart-knockers.
I have no advice though, I'm completely unfamiliar with the industry. At first I thought you were saying you wanted to open up a vehicle towing company, and with the economy the way it is, I can see the potential for that to be a good investment at this time.
People are driving their vehicles longer, skimping on repairs, and falling behind on their payments.
All of these factors mean business is good for tow truck drivers right now.

Ok I will give non-fart-knocker advice, from my inexperienced self. First off, do you have experience with this?
I'm thinking this could be fairly lucrative since it is Florida. How much would you charge? Since it's sort of a menial task sort of deal, I think something cheap would be most effective, like $10-20. I doubt you'd need any kind of license though, unless you actually make a business out of it.

Well I can kind of see people, really struggling to get their boat off, and then him like, "Need a hand?"
They're thinking, "Oh, what a nice boy. And look, he's even experienced, and got a truck and everything."
Get everything squared away.
"Alright $20.00 old man."

Tires smokin... Cussin'... family upset...
"hey man, $20 bucks, I'll "tow" you up the ramp... "
I'd be like: "Fuck off... "
(and call a wrecker just to piss him off)
