    Something very strange happened today....

Gas went down $0.04 a gallon at the local Conoco.

It is now an affordable $4.15 a gallon for premium.

    It was awesome.

I drove it around the block today.
Cost me $6 to start it, another $14 to get around the block.

my personal favorite is when I pull into a gas station loping and someone says " that must be killing you right now with the gas prices this high". I tell them it costs me $200 a week. when actually $20 worth of gas will last me 2 weeks in it. I figure if they're to stupid to realize the car probably doesn't get driven much then I'm not gonna be the one to educate them on it.

I filled up next to a pizza delivery guy a few days ago. He was laughing at me....but asked how 'bad' it did on gas.
I told him a tank lasts about a month.
Sadly....he didn't realize that was only 100 miles.

it's a trade off worth making IMO though. My bro and I have had this discussion plenty. He's wanting a G8 but can't get the balls up to do it due to gas prices. I tell him it's kinda like my GTO. I'll sacrifice a few MPG's not to have to drive a shit box around everywhere.

I don't mind paying high prices for the Trans Am.
It is the gas for the daily driver that bugs me.

Either way....time for bed so I can wake up hungover.

me too. I had just got to sleep good and our son came downstairs and crawled into bed and woke me up. Time to go reclaim my territory.

20.3 mpg last time I filled up. 149,390 on the clock. Did cost 33 bucks to fill up my car.. Now its like 44.

No more 4wd in the jeep... no more 4wd in the cucv. Mowers get all the gas. Weve got an armada of restored snappers. Most bought new back in the 60s. Probably got 10 of those bastards, then again we got about 15 acres to mow at a time...

It droped here a week or two ago, it was only a few cents but the next day it jumped right back up ten cents.

I'm pulling 22-23mpg, I feel like most people look at me weird now when I'm filling up like the thing is a total gas hog. The said thing is it gets better milage than most v-6 cars and suvs. I get about the same milage as my moms v-6 accord which has 200 hp less. As Orion said I'd rather pay a bit more for gas to have a quick car than drive some econo shit box than can't even get out of its own way.

Did anyone catch the story on the news last night about opec raising oil production again? I kept hearing them talking about it before every f'in comercial but then missed the actual news clip on it. Searched on the net but I can't find anything about it today.
