Some pics with my new Canon 50mm/1.8 mkII lens...

Still trying to get used to this shallow depth of field. This is my first prime so I'm also getting used to the distance to the subject. I'm bored so here they are. The first shot is a Jello snack my was was about to eat. About the size of a Hot Wheels car.



And an actual Hot Wheels. You can tell exactly where my focus spot was.




Something about this one I love and hate. Onboard flash is blowing it out a bit.

Lol. My son got that car at school ysterday. You can see some red and green glitter on his desk actually. He has an honest 400-500 cars he's accumulated over the past 4.5 years. They're everywhere.

Well, except a very few... Camaro/Vette/TA/Goat
I have doubles of them!

I only collect the muscle cars and sports cars, none
of the crazy ones! They have to be a real car or maybe
truck. I do have a few Hummers and ZR1's

Nice pics ... I've got a 1.4 (although Nikon) and the depth of field is crazy, although it's a crazy fast lens though. I just haven't got to taking any neat pics.

I realllly wanted the 1.4 but I couldn't justify the price difference between it and the 1.8. NICE lens though!! I'd like to see some pics with it for sure!!

that camera is the shit. I would wait a year until canon comes out with one that does video and then the prices will drop.

From all the reviews I've read, that camera is awesome!
