    So we put an LQ9 in a '97 T/A

but the block isn't drilled for the F-Body alternator bracket... any one ran into this yet??? Do we drill, or use a bracket from an LQ9 equipped truck/S.U.V.???

    I drilled.

Didn't do a very good job though. Haven't had any problems though.

is the alternator located in the same area on the trucks, as it is on the F-Body??? BTW: we are running no P/S, and no A/C.

    No.
Not 100% where it is on the trucks...but on the F-Body it is on the driver's side down low.

Also not sure how it will mate up in an LT1 car.

as far as we can tell, the inner structure is the same, we used an LS1 car k-member. i was just wonderin if the alt. location was close to the same in the trucks, or if maybe it were on the truck, where the P/S pump is on the car...
