so it is true. Honda drivers would race anything.
18-wheeler, Honda cited for drag racing
SLIDELL β Police cited the driver of an 18-wheel-gas-tanker truck on drag racing, Slidell Police reported Wednesday.
They also cited the driver of a 1995 red Honda Accord on drag racing after clocking the two vehicles going more than 80 mph on Old Spanish Trail Tuesday night, according to a police press release.
A detective began chasing the vehicles after the truck, which was followed by the Honda, turned from Pontchartrain Drive onto Third Street βat a very high rate of speed,β according to the release.
The drivers said they raced after talking about how fast their vehicles could go, the release said.
Craig Smith, 33, of Kenner, said the gas trailer was empty, according to police.
Police cited Smith, 33, and Brandon Tanks, 19, of Slidell, on drag racing which carries a penalty of up to 30 days in jail or a fine of up to $175, the release said.
Capt. Kevin Foltz said the tank truck was in the lead when the detective stopped the vehicles.

Yup. They will. I haven't had any race me...just try to pace me and block me from changing lanes. Then I downshift and away I go. Had it done once on Rt 59 leaving Palisades Center and another on Rt 309 heading to Spazapalooza last year.

Gotta watch big trucks sometimes, too...we've got one on the road with well over a thousand horses at the flywheel. There's plenty out there that make that look weak, too. Last dyno shootout I attended was won with 1281 to the ground, and the guy drove the truck to and from the dyno! I really want to attend this show one year:

When my parents had there truck company. They had a few 98 Frieghtlines, with propane injection and other shit... They was pretty damn fast for what it is. Plus it saved it bit with fuell and the drivers said it helped allot for steep inclines.

My grandpa has many trucking stories, such as going 100+ with a load back before gps in the 90's. Those trucks can move out (for the weight) pending engine and mods. His last one had 600 horsepower and a shit ton of torque

I'm fairly certain, though I can't find it now, that I saw the video where one of the tractors in the above posted video ran the quarter in the high 13's at nearly 100mph in the quarter. That's piss off an awful lot of Honda owners...not to mention V8 F-body guys to boot.

not all trucks are limited via gps...you mainly run into the gps limiters in major trucking companies. they turn the trucks down to save fuel mileage....im currently driving a 03 kenworth that has been turned up. its on a 500hp tune, and has right at 1700ft lbs tq...its a fun little truck to drive....its funny cuz guys think that the day cab trucks (trucks with no sleeprs) are normally slow or under powered. but when im loaded to 80,000lbs and whiz past them like im empty is always a good conversation starter on the c.b
