so i caught a hr ball at the game last night.
so i'm a huge tribe fan and of baseball itself. we went to the game last night and it was cold and misting rain. my dad and my brother wanted to leave and i said here are the keys and i'll find a ride. so they said ok. 5 mins later they came back and said they were joking well a few batters later in the bottom of the 7th mark derosa smoked a shot to left that i catch. this was my first hr ball. i have caught 3 fouls balls but never a hr ball. it was so cool to give all these people high fives. so i waited after the game and got it signed and dated. it was his 4th for 09 and 73 of his career. cool guy.
he went 4 for 5 with 2 singles, a double, and an hr.
not to mention he had scored the winning run. on 1 of 4 of bostons errors.
anyone ever catch a hr ball? it was really cool.
here is the vid but very hard to see me. just follow the ball and that is me, lol.

Wow...that's cool!!!! I've never been in the area to catch a ball. I guess the parking lot doesn't get many home run's.

it was awsome, i got my knee cut up and my finger a little.
the ball hit in my hands cupped style then i got hit (as the ball got to me)and the ball came out and i went down, and jumped on the ball. as four guys jumped on me, and two tried to reach in to get the ball. my brother knocked the one guy off of me.

lol yeah, i didnt think it was going to go down like that. i mean i had it, then got hit, then i'm on the ground, with the ball in front of me. then i got piled on, then my brother cleared the pile. lol. i wish i could find a better/ longer video of it. i am recording the play back of the game today at noon. will see if it is in there. the game was over 4 hours long. boston should have one that game. as much as i hate to say that but 4 errors that turned into 5 runs.

Big fucking deal. Me and Tim Duncan made out in the bleachers after the game.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Caught a foul ball but never a HR ball.
The foul ball I caught was when I had seats behind the 3rd base dugout at an Angels game back in the 80's. Nolan Ryan was pitching when it was hit foul right at me. I'm one of those doofuses that takes his glove to the game (at least when I had seats that good). It paid off that day. I still have the ball (in the glove - I use it to hold the gloves shape). I never thought to have Ryan sign it though.

No? MLB games are awesome IMO. I love them. Watching it on TV... yea sure... it may get slightly boring. Being there, with beer, over priced food and bathroom lines 1/4 miles long. Awesome. It really is a good time. I cant wait for D-Tigers tickets this year.
Congrats on catching the HR ball, cool you got it signed too.

Oklahoma has no NFL team, no MLB team, no NHL team and it was the first year of having an NBA team(and they suck severly right now, so driving 2+ hours for a shitty ass team with retarded ass logos/names/uniforms/etc is not appealing).
The majority of the state of Oklahoma hangs their hat on Sooner football, its stronger than religion/politics or anything else here. I have been a Sooner football fan since I was about 7 years old and always will be. I used to be a huge pro sports fan but its just lost its passion for me. Pro athletes are grossly overpaid and the strikes and labor disagreements all the sports have gone through in the past 20 years has really hurt the games for me. I won't be driving out of state to pay overpriced ticket prices to watch overpaid athletes

The only reason I went to games was to catch one... I even went for batting practices and I still didn't get one. I would stand somewhere they would go somewhere else. I'd move there and they hit my seat. I'm thinking I got better odds in hitting the powerball!
