    Sleeping disorder

I have a huge sleeping disorder. I can't sleep before 4am and end up getting up at 11:30 every day. This never use to happen when I had college but now over vacation it set in. One day I stayed up late followed by the next day and now it's become a cycle. I don't sleep much to begin with (5-6.5 hrs a day) but I'm a little worried. Ny doctor advised me to get at least 8 for the amount of work and studying I do. I also don't eat well and on time. I sometimes go 2 days w/o eating (eating just 2 meals) so I'm thinking maybe all this might be linked. If it continues I'm gonna go back to the docs, but does any1 have advice on how to reset my sleep cycle???

It's not a sleep disorder, just a bad habit.

Stop playing WoW, and force yourself to get up early.

You'll be tired for about a week but soon you'll start falling asleep at a decent hour.

Yeah. I've had a pretty rough sleep schedule since the end of April. from sleepless nights to nights of 2 - 2.5 hours of sleep. Caffiene may not be the answer but it's a pretty effective band aid. A NOS or Monster early in the morning before you crash will probably keep you awake enough to start the next day and go through the normal routine.

Come the evening you will be so tired you will pass out doing pretty much anything. Get 10 hours of sleep... wake up at a good time... try to keep in that cycle

Doing this is like hitting the reset button on your internal clock instead of slowly modifying it (which technically is the "right" way)

+1. Stupidest post ever. "I don't wanna sleep" "I don't wanna eat". WTH? Get a job and do something productive, you won't be going to sleep at 4am.

I have trouble sleeping at night because I can't turn my thinker off. I'm up half the night thinking about tomorrows problems at work.

Okay I may seem a little unsympathetic so here's some real advice. Join a gym and work out. Your body will want more food and more sleep.

Working out is one of the key contributors to insomnia

This coming from a guy that eats every two days and sleeps like someone on welfare. Try getting a physical job with long hours and you'll be begging for food and sleep. BTW I work out 4 times a week and have a pretty physical job...yet I sleep like a baby and eat every two hours

I had the same problems as you back when I was 18.

Turns out I was just lazy and unemployed.

    Get a job.
