Should I get the side exhuast?

My exhuast set up is pacesetter long tubes with a 2.5 inch x pipe with flow master mufflers dumped before the axel.
I love th sound and the power I gained from it but my only problem is that the mufflers are really low and scape sometimes.
My friend is offering to sell me his 3 inch side pipes from his sting ray.
I figured I could still use them and cut them short and put them on the x pipe so it would still be dumped before the axel.
My question is: will there be any changes in preformance? and how would it sound? I tried looking around but I cannot find anything.
    Thx

No, you dont get it, the.
I would use the side exhaust but turn it so it points down and it would still be underneath the car. NOT actually on the side of the car.

But it wont be coming out of the side.
Yes it is a side exhuast but it will be completly underneath the car hidden and dumped down.
I just want to know how do they sound?

well if you are just doing a pre or post axel dump....then who cares cuz you wont see them,...just make sure you put some angle on the exit of the pipe so its not dumping straight into the ground

    oh

I got you. dude, the old side pipes were chambered mufflers. so, essentially, if you cut them down a little, and put dumps on the ends, it would sound exactly like the GMMG exhaust

Does the GMMG exhuast sound good?
This will also be done on an x-pipe

i like it a lot. have you ever tried www.ls1sounds.com? i know you're an LT1, but it can show you the sound differences in the exhaust.
