Shitty Friends...
:Need to Vent:
I cant tell the the # of times Ive helped out this guy and asked for nothing more than a thank you. Helped him move TWICE (on my birthday), helped remodel his home and never asked for anything in return.
I happened to win this years Fantasy Baseball League with him and all his buddies. Ended up winning $200 bucks...He wanted in on our Fantasy Football Pick Em League so I let him in as well...no big deal right?!
Wrong! Havent heard from him in months so I called him today to collect the $20 he lost and he states he doesnt have it and that times are tough.
NOT only that but after I pressure him about the money ($200) he owes me for the baseball league it admits he spent it b/c he lost his job.
So Im in the hole $220 that this guy owes me. I could give a rats ass about the money but its the principle of the matter, Ive never left so taken advantage of in my life
Hey pal, I know you read these forums...Fuck you! You lost a good friend

There is a definite lack of morals/ethics with this younger generation. There is a lesser amount of respect for much of anything with this younger generation. Yours guys....I am talking about the 35 year old to 25 year old generation today.
I don't know if it is the Internet/media/Hollywood/hip hop/ or what. But it is all about ME ME ME ME with you guys.
My generation had our share of idiots/assholes.....but far and away the majority of my generation respected our word...it was our word for Christ sake and it meant something.
I would crawl under a rock and die if I pulled some shit like this on one of my buddies.
If you make a deal guys....it is your word of honor there man....respect it. No excuses.
Sorry about your experience BBB.....there is no "word" for bullshit like this.
All I can tell you is most people are not like this....so do not give up on the human race kid...................
What an asshole.......and for a couple hundred bucks.....just sad man.........Last edited by Sarge; 01-03-2011 at 02:24 AM. Reason: can't spell for shit

This is just one of the reasons why I won't loan money, or tools to friends and/or family..
It creates amnesia..
I'd have to say it goes to poor judgement all around plain and simple.. (no offense)
He should'nt place/make bets on money he did'nt have..
Knowing this persons track record you should'nt have gotten involved monitarily either.

Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

I wouldn't call him a friend BBB. It's said but that is the way the world is heading today and the only thing I think to blame is technology. What we gain in technology we lose in humanity

Look at it this way,as long as your friend owes you money he's not going to ask you for anything else and never bother you again to help him out.
So basically it cost you $220 to get rid of a "shitty friend" not worth having.

Man that really sucks.
And if the person does read these boards, I hope they realize what a rat they are for pulling crap like this. Karma can be a bitch bud.
If they are willing to screw a friend for $200, they are likely on a career path for Politician.

the good news is that you won't feel inclined to help him move when his house goes to foreclosure...

He's probably gonna offer to pay you 220 bucks to help him move out of house.

Man, I am sorry, I didn't think it was a big deal. You seem to be ballin and riding high on life, and I am so down these days, I didn't think you would mind covering for me. I will make it up to you, somehow, someday.

Let me make you feel better. I used to dabble in real estate. I found a house for my friend, inspected it, called my banker and got him a good rate on the loan, offered to buy and install a $2000 television surround package for him out of my $6000 commission. He went straight to the seller's agent and ended up paying more for the house just to cut my wife out of the commision. The other agent thought it was Christmas morning. He called every other day and just stopped mentioning buying the house. I found out when my banker called to thank me for the reference. His only response was..."You didn't answer the phone on the day we decided to buy it. This guy was best man at my wedding.
