This shit sucks!
Well, this shit sucks balls. I have to take my car into its Dr. tomorrow and have him look my car over. I have what seems to be a valvetrain tick on the passager side of the motor. It ticks loudly at idle, but comes and goes. And if you idle it up slightly it stays there for a little bit but then as the idle goes down it flares up then goes away. I know its not piston slap so....Looks like I might need new lifters or something of that nature. I will find out tomorrow around 6 or 7 pm, this shit sucks. Both my cars are nickel and dimeing me to death at the moment, but you have to pay to play and my car is going into winter storage so i do not need it fixed right away which is nice but....argh.

sounds like an exhaust leak.......is it a metallicy kind of sound.
same thing goin on with my car right now
I'll be willin to bet its an exhaust leak

Lifter? My truck does it too. Rev it up and it ticks like hell, for like 45 seconds, then fades away, but its old...

Oil passages should be good. Just seafoamed about 1000 miles ago, entire motor/fuel system. Haven't missed a shift and highest rpm was 6,000. Just started going that high, before was 5,500. I will try to get video.

serious dude.......exhaust leak......
my cars got one too for now......
close the windows and drive around, and when your converter locks up, put your foot into it a little, so it lugs the motor. and you should hear the motor chugging away and sounding like a boat. louder then normal

I have a M6 so using the stall would not help Mechanic told me lifter is what he believes after checking it over. So, now I mise well do lifters, cam, timing chain, oil pump, pushrods, and springs, and tune. All depends on how my DD treats me this winter

Damn you Mr. Luos, damn you..... Now I have to add those to the long list. I prolly should just do a 408 now or something of that nature.
