Shipping Crap
What is the cheapest to ship items? Don't really give a shit how long they take. Just want the cheapest route. USPS UPS FEDEX you get the gist. Is it better to buy my own materials and pay postage or just use a company. Buying shit for my brother and shipping it dallas texas for him. Any opinions or help would be great

LS6 heads and had Pakes in Jville Port and polish and clean up mill. Torquer V2 with LS7 lifters, LS2 lifter trays, LS2 timing chain, Hardened pushrods, Lingenfelter oil pump, that pretty much covers it. Finally done and all I can say is THANK GOD
What mods did you get done this summer?

flat rate priority USPS is cheapest, just go to www.usps.com and enter the info . Then compare to www.ups.com and fedex.com
I use UPS at work and it or fedex is better if it gets lost or damaged, small stuff definitely postalLast edited by whitelightnin99; 09-17-2009 at 11:22 AM.

Flat rate is cheaper some times. I ship everyday here at my job. The two lowest companys are going to be ups and usmail. Get your own packing material. You can pick up good shipping supplys at office depot. They have a great section of boxes, tape, bubble, pop corn foam and what ever els you need. The bigger boxes will be cheaper to ship ups and the smaller will be cheaper to ship through usps but only by a few dollars so I dont know if it is worth it to make two trips. Good luck.

usps.....I've used them a ton in the last 2 years and have been extremely happy with their prices and ship times. I won't use anything else really.
Go to a grocery store for boxes....most are more than happy to give you boxes.

USPS is cheapest going ground. But, they have all jacked up prices lately.
It you are going to be sending things like a wide screen TV or anything of value, I would suggest going UPS though. Filing a claim if anything gets broken is far easier.
You'll have to weigh and measure all boxes to get a price for either.

Books/CDs/DVDs or any media, ship it media mail through USPS.

Crap should not cost much to ship, but they may not want to... Your brother may not want your crap either, he has his own.

The only real way to find out the best price is to get the dimentions of the box and the weight then go the their websites type them in and they will give you a price. Done!

USPS flat rate box -- sent a harmonic balancer across country to be re-built. You can't beat the price or the convenience.
