shifting problem???
hey guys, i am having a problem with my 2000 z28 transmission. it is an automatic, when i floor it, it has a hard time getting into gear around 5500rpm. but when i cruise around it shifts fine with no problems. does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong with it???
thanks
daniel

you wanna hear a shifting problem?
my friend has a dodge neon when he floors it, it pops into nuetral. thats a problem. if he does it hard enough it almost can pop into reverse!

I'm having a similar problem. Sometimes when its floored its hanging out at about 6200 for awhile before it wants to shift.

is it all stock or is it tuned? you can mess with the shift points with a hand held programmer like hpp3, and that would only affect full throttle shifts. part throttle shifts stay normal. is the rev limiter affected too?
...this might be moved to the tranny section.
