    Ben Stiller movie.

Exclamation sell my car for a vette?

I've been thinking about selling my ws.6 for a 01ish z06. what do you think i should do? How much do you think my ws.6 is worth with mods?

    2000 ws.6 w/100k miles
    new tires
    SubFrames
    Koni Shocks
    35mm front sway bar
    Lower Control Arms
    Strut Tower Brace
    spec 3 since 85k miles
    Borla Exhaust

KBB values it @ 11,800 for highest value. I figure in another 1600 for the suspension mods [since i just did them this month] and that puts me at 13,400. I have to make at least $12,200 to cover the loan on the car.

Nothing like having a vette!! I used to have a '68 w/427 motor. They're bad a$$, for sure. But...... alot more money not only to purchase the car but also to insure. Think of all the mods you can do to your f-body with the cost difference.

dont get a zo6 unless you are getting it for collectability... use the difference in price between say it and a descent 01 vette for a better condition car and parts to make it faster that the zo6....

I can't say anything bad about a vette. Just the cost is harsh, if money is no object then go for it. You get alot of performance for the stock unit, if you have even more money you can throw mods into it too.

Remember the motto,"Vette's gets 'em wet".

eh, i'm engaged; it would prolly piss her off more to have a vette. LOL

This is stricktly for my enjoyment. As you indicated, money IS an object. She has a low-pay job, and I bring in the solid cash. I'm thinking that with the way my insurance is on a t/a it's going to kill me on a vette. I know a few tix will fall off next september, and if i can be a good boy by then, it might be better to just hold off for a later-model ls6

.....LOL..... I hear ya, I've tried talking myself into a vette. Not hard to do. But when you think of the reality of it all..... well that's why I still have my z28.

But when I hit the lotto.... LOOK OUT.

u might get in over your head. i dont think you will get what your asking for it. you might if you take all the stuff off of it and get it bakc to stock. so you could say......near mint bone stock ws6 trans am. they dont make um anymore so get your hands on this one now. it will be worth more that way. just sell your parts to a guy and make part of the deal, you get his stock parts.

I went thru this a couple of years ago. I had to have a vette! After a while I decided the vette just didn't get my attention like a TA. I know "it's a vette" but..................I likes the TA better. Just my .02

Check with your insurance company. An 02 zo6 was only a couple of dollars more than my TA. A standard coupe was less than my TA. Go figure

I dont think you are going to like a Vette .. You are just trying to get rid of you T/A because you are mad at it .. There is also another Saying .. Everybody wants a Vette , except the people who own one ...

I bet this will make you rethink it:

What if THREE hot women want a ride at the same time? Where does that leave you with a two-seater, huh?

I know some nice people who drive 'vettes. I think the world of BOTH of them. (just kidding guys).

Seriously though, basically the same performance, but with more flexibility. The "vette" personna is a nice attention-getter, but after that it's up to the "real" person.

Be yourself, don't let the car create what YOU are.

    F-body!!!

That's a tough decision, I lean would lean more toward toward keeping and moding the ws6, they don't make t/a's anymore and they probably never will, plus there's already a new c6z06 out, and come on what's this car going to cost after you sell your ws6 for 12K probably another 15k+ on top of that for a car that's rated at what 385hpvs320hp you have now. I'm just going to get a ws6 and grandnational and call it a day, when I get wealthy I'll get a prowler/viper to cruise also.
