I personally do not like jetskis, 1 of them is just useless i think you basically need 2 of them. that boat is just a small wakeboarding boat. it will handle like a jetski and turn like one as well. im not sure about that model but usually they put 2 motors in them and operate like a jetski. they get great mph(mpg). if i were you and looking at a boat like this i would suggest the yamaha version of this boat they have much nice features and cost a little less then the seadoo. Im going this route when I finally sell my other boat, there are a ton of positives to these boats i think.

I have a jetski a friend gave me, I never use it, so boring after about 2 hours. It's great for a hot day but that's about it. I've always talked about selling it and just getting a doo jetboat, their new designs are just badass, I'm just cheap and don't' feel that dropping that kind of change on something I'll hardly use it really worth it right now.

road one of those PWC boats way back when the very first ones came out - it was pretty neat, ..i'd imagine the performance of today's have improved dramatically... i'd imagine regular 1-2 person PWC are faster and more maneuverable, ..but less stable in the water at idle... fast, fun, ...but you'll need $$ for gas!

ok, watched the vid, ...i must say i'm impressed w/ how far these have come and the technology integrated into them... they are fast! however, that pop-up ski pylon looked weak and inadequate... i can see how this would be attractive as an alternative to a small ski boat in terms of up front cost, complexity, etc... but keep in mind this - if you are going to slalom ski you will pull that seadoo boat ass-end around, ...and wakeboarding might move it around too... it probably rides good on a smooth small lake as shown in the vid, ..but i doubt it does good in big lake waves...

With 7.8 gallons per hour the most economical they saw at cruising speeds, it isn't going to be cheap. When you are on and off the throttle frequently you will see even worse fuel consumption. Our 1812cc Supercharged Yamaha FZR jet ski burns through fuel pretty quickly.

Any Boat = Money/Time Black Hole.

I have a family type bowrider and it never costs less than $100+ for a day of riding.

Maybe a smaller one like this would be better, but figure $4 per gallon at 7+ gallons per hour, figure $30 an hour minimum for cruising, more if having some fun.

Remember the 2 best days in a boater's life:

The day he bought his boat and the day he sold his boat.

on my baja its only a chev 350 and i can easily burn 60 gallons a day if im giving it hell i get like 12 gallons an hour at crusing. i usually just go to the party spot and then anchor off and party maybe go to the bar, so i would figure 80-100 a day on the water easily.

Same goes for our Malibu. Pretty easy to burn through it. It was common to put $200 a weekend in it.

Ha same here. Our lake has 5 gas stations on it and gas was near $5 dollars the whole summer. I bought it twice only when it was an absolute must. Otherwise, we throw 6 - 5 gallons tanks in the back of the truck and drive into town.
