Lightbulb Scientists Have Found New Evidence Supporting the "Big Bang" Theory!

    The big bang's 'smoking gun'
Scientists say 'inflation' led to massive expansion

(AP) -- By the faint cosmic glow of the oldest known light, physicists say they have found evidence that the universe grew to astounding proportions in less than the blink of an eye.

We've known of this for years...

Its called cosmic microwave background radiation... left over from the original cosmic singularity.

Wow, I did learn something in college.

Apparently infinite numbers of Big Bangs and Big Crunches over and over again throughout eternity.

ye ole chicken and the egg theory, eh hoss?

so in a millenia, we can expect another explosion to replace this universe? or does this universe have to "crunch" first....

is there more than one universe? possible one where sarge and billy get along with eachother?

If the universe wasn't here, what would be ? nothing ? nothing has to be something. What caused these "big bangs" ? some random event ?

Interesting read Billy, but it seems like a lot of theory, with it's share of problems. I won't try to prove or dis-prove it, but I'm always open to learning more about this topic. Are you open to the idea that GOD is the force behind the big bang ?

Hmmm, if it grew that much in "the blink of an eye" (trillionth of a second) how much would it grow in 6 days?

Sure but if there is some sort of higher power or God of some sort it's absolutley not one of the many ones that man has made up and written about in hundreds of different books in hundreds of different parts of the world over the coarse of history.

That's your opinion. Peoples definition of GOD is subjective to the individual. Can't it be possible they're all referencing the same GOD ? I believe in the Christian GOD, but I'm not going to tell you the GOD you believe in doesn't exist.

BillyT, the word you were looking for was "course," not "coarse" like Chuck Norris' beard.

    Damn, twice in one day!

No. Each man made religious book has it's own specific description of what they think God is like based on nothing more than other mens' writings and supposed experiences. The idea that any of them are even remotely accurate as to what God, if he, she or it even exists, is really like is absolutely ludicrous.

I know, I know. I can't help it today. I'm at work. I don't have much to do. Really, I'm getting a little slap happy. Sorry for messing with you. I just thought it was funny. Honestly, I'm not trying to make you mad. I'm just playing around. No harm intended.
