Ricers: Anatomy of the "Fly by"

Today I sat down and studied the most common ricer trait, the fly by. In the real world when a faster, superior car claims victory one may (if it is their victory custom) turn on their flashers to prove to their opponent that they have just lost. So what is a fly by? A fly by is when subject A: The Ricer loses to Subject B: Trans Am, and after the Trans Am has clearly won and begun to slow down, Subject A will not slow down until he or she has finally passed Subject B with flashers on. After this happens the ricer may exit the road immediately so he can go tell his other rice friends he beat a Trans Am, in top end too. Through my observations the ricer will do this for their own personal satisfaction so as to say "My car can get to 100mph too, just 2 minutes slower than yours." If this is the case the Ricer has failed at impressing anybody, including the underaged women they tend to hang out with.

The fly by has proven to be effective for ricers as it ensures them victory in their own minds. Could this be where their confidence comes from? The false sense of winning?

Next issue will contain the wanna be Ricers. The Lancer's that try to look like Evo's. The Supra's without Turbo's. The WRX's without the power of the STI. Ricer's are forever evolving but one thing remains to be true. In the words of our own Third Shift Studios "As I walk through the shadows in the valley of rice, I shall fear no fart can, for torque art with me."

But I must know, Is there a cure for the so called "ricers" and if there is what can we do? How can we help getting them off the streets?

Be weary during your observations, Doctor, as multiple incounters may lead to assimilation

i'm just saying...their gatherings are robust and groups are staggering-one could find him self waking up with a cell phone pic, "bro'n it up" with two baggy-pant'd, stiff-brim and upward-slated hat "boyz"

there is a cure for rice my brothers. I myself being a modern day healer have cured many cases of ricerism. It is very simple and only takes a few minutes. It is a simple ride along. I have actually caused some of my brothers who have gone astray to sell there hondas and buy a rwd v8. one was a mustang, but you can't win em all.

Yes I am a nitpicker, but that line actually came from a parody my friend Cullan Hooley wrote, called the 23rd Psalm of the F-body. His original line was "I shall fear no turbo, for torque art with me." You've probably seen the original poem pasted around this and other f-body forums, but I never see it with his name given as the author.
