Revised Poll: How much have you invested in mods?
After many members voiced concerns that the prior poll did not have sufficient options, I am posting an updated poll. To clarify, the question was not intended to include maintenance items, however, parts like brake pads, rotors, air filters and such can be upgraded to performance parts. Therefore, feel free to post any clarification you desire.
The original poll questions stated as follows:
After a year of ownership, the price tag for mods has been steadily winding up on our car. I know it's a drop in the bucket compared to many of you, but I am somewhere north of $1,500 for appearance and performance additions. I could easily see investing another $3,500 if I go the head and cam route, with LT's and a catted Y. After that, there are suspension upgrades, transmission, and the infamous 10 bolt to consider... Where does it end?
How much do you have invested in mods to your car -- approximately? If I did this right, it should be a private poll.

parts bought...(that I can think of)
pacesetter longtubes,
3" dual exhaust and mufflers, cam,
valve springs and kit to port/polish my stock 241 heads, wheels and tires,
Eibach drop springs,
pedders tierod ends and adjustable poly strutrod bushings,
Energy Suspension poly mounts and bushings (every bushing),
racing buckets,
cd player, amp and speakers,
stage 3 tranny and 3,800 stall,
B&M megashifter,
gauges,
hptuners SD tune
things that I have built my self and will include as valve that it would cost to have done.
full custom sheetmetal wide body and ground effects,
full custom paint and graphics,
custom ram air/ cold air intake,
battery relocation,
weight reduction (currently sits at 3,665lbs with full tank of gas and me in the car),
that's all I can think of at the moment lol
I have done all my own work (with some help of some very good friends) so I'll have to vote with an estimated valve of mods.
I'll put a raw parts price of $10,000 and include $20,000 fab, labor and design work to get my total

Wheels & tires-1800
Drilled & slotted rotors with pads-500
Drag bags-100
New clutch & flywheel-1200
Pacesetter longtubes-450
Flowmaster single chambers-150
Cam swap plus all neccesities,3 inch custom exhaust,TB,OTRCAI( all to be ordered next week)-2000
Mark, did the energy suspension bushing kit really help?

I did the pedders, energy suspension and springs all at the same time, replaced every rubber part with poly, and solid motor mounts.
I will tell you it handles like a completely different car. all the slop is gone and rides/handles like a race car.
I'd recomend this as the 1st and best mod for any GTO

that's why I went with enegy, the only things I couldn't get from them was the radius rod bushings, that was only avalible through pedders....$245 for the pair, washers, and shims.
if you get them install them in the (performance) setting. they will make you happy.
also for $25 each get there tie rods ( you need them, you just don't know it yet lol)

Somewhere north of 11K, but less than 12 currently. Out of that, I have probably spent 1,500 in install fees due to me wanting things done right away and being in school and working full-time didn't allow that.
I am about half-way through with my mods from a total price standpoint. I am either going with a D1SC on a stock 346ci or looking into a built 408ci 6.0L Iron Block. I assume with the D1SC and this, I am looking at another 10K.
So, in total, somewhere around 22K. Wow, now that I think about it, my stomach hurts...

It is crazy to think about really.
That doesn't include the several clutches it has gone through, the fluids, new tires, etc....
