Replaced my busted front swaybar (pics)
Well, finally got around to getting my new-used front swaybar put on that I purchased from user gvincent on here (good guy to deal with!) and here's what I took out. The car had 100k on it when i bought it and I knew it had lived a rough life before it came to me. When I first discovered this problem only the drivers side piece was detached, and then today i noticed the pass. side piece had become detached as well. Here are the pictures.

And the passengers side (x2)
Luckily it all held together while I have driven the thing like 3k miles since I bought it. However, it's got a better one on it now and also new endlinks.

a stocker off a 95 t/a with less miles. Didn't have the cash on hand to go aftermarket and no plans for racing.

if it were straight-line only i'd probably consider for weight savings.

Damn that one is rusted to hell. Does your entire under carriage look like that?
You should have replaced it with a GM 1LE 32mm hollow bar as they can be found on ebay for $20 +shipping brand new.
Did you upgrade the bushings and endlinks to polt at least?
Hell I have a powdercoated one c/w prothane poly bushings I could have sent/sold to you:

Not everything is rusted like the swaybar. It was never stored inside and driven on numerous dirt/gravel roads and beat on pretty hard before I got ahold of it, not to mention the salt in the wintertime (i'm sure the car was driven in winter :-x)

had to reuse stock bushings, endlinks were replaced with poly bushings to boot, though.
