Seems silly to me. But maybe it wouldn't be so silly if I was like, 65 years old now (a 20-something when the Camaro came out), couldn't afford one but wanted one back then and am now worth like $20+ mil.

but if you had worked hard for your money you would not just blow it like that , because you would know after a few months they would be down to a pretty normal price ...

I agree, but also recognize what I think is silly may not be silly to someone else. This topic is the perfect example, I think it is silly to pay a roughly 65% markup from msrp for that car. The person shelling out the cash on the other hand, doesn't (at least you would hope not.)
This purchase, if anyone chooses to pay that much over msrp, will be because having it before anyone else is worth the 20K to the buyer.
Don't get me wrong, even if I were a billionaire, I would wait the few extra months to get the price that I think is more reasonable. Keep in mind there are going to be people out there that think paying the 30K this car is likely to have as the msrp will be far too much. It is all a matter of priorities.
