Received ticket in the mail should I pay for it?
Received ticket in the mail should I pay for it? or throw it in the trash they didn't see my face.
I was cruiseing though Alabama in my Astro Van a couple months ago I did’nt beat this yellow light ( I would have if I was driving the TA) anyway I got a ticket in the mail for running a red light.
Then another which increased to the fine from $60. to $85.
The letter had images of the back of Van just over the white line then another w/ Van in middle of intersection. There are no images of my face.
So should I be paying this fine? Will this ticket have a effect me renewing my License in Georgia this June?
Thanks

My friend lost his PA license for not paying a FL parking ticket. My recommendation is to pay it.

Seriously?
It's $85 and you have admitted guilt just now online.
I advise you stop breaking the law because you're terrible at it.Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

My advice (prior law enforcement):
For $85, might as well pay: The time and effort you'll put into "beating" the ticket will far, far, FAR surpass the value of $85. Through the years I have had several people through my office with out of the area "photo tickets" and parking tickets where the license plate has been misread, my father included. I have always been able to make those go away with a phone call and a letter.

A $1000 letter, right Jeff (wink, wink).

$1000??? Anything short of life's savings isn't even worth his time. You seen all the cars he has and his garage? How you think he got that shit? It's blood and tears money.
What does walking into a $2 whore house and Jeff's office have in common? You're getting fucked either way.

Lol. I'm going to laugh so hard the day Tim needs a lawyer and Jeff tells him to fuck off. It's going to happen, I can feel it lol.

This thread is funny. I hate camera tickets as they are almost entirely useless to a community. The purpose of cops sitting and waiting for someone to be speeding etc is to catch them and stop them in the act. Traffic camera tickets do very little to solve the actual danger of driving like this. They don't stop that person from speeding, going through a yellow etc. They have one purpose.... to gain revenue for the local PD or municipality. That's not why we have these laws against speeding and traffic lights. Some people claim "they make people think twice before speeding etc". Studies have shown that's just not the case.
I'm not saying the OP shouldn't pay the ticket or that he should keep running yellows as they change to red. Or that he use the excuse of "they don't show my face"(if you know it was you driving then that's all that should matter). I'm just stating my dislike for the illogical camera tickets.Last edited by Zinergy; 02-18-2016 at 08:18 AM.

They got taken down here because the money wasn't going to schools like the law dictated. The company who ran them was taking so much of every ticket and the rest was going towards maintenance of the actual cameras. So when the "school district" aka pissed off tax payers and disgruntled motorists sued the govt they decided to get rid of them. Plus alot people were making a huge deal over the fact a officer didn't see the actual offense and a third party who was not a part of the police should not be issuing tickets.
In the end by time the county and state added up the cost they realized the company who owned/ran the cameras was basically receiving everything and the county was losing money.Mods - Lid, Skip Shift Eliminator, MGW shifter, UMI SFCs, Founders Lower Control Arms, Founders Panhard Bar, Founders Adj.
